Metal Bell Vintage Style Rotary Dial Home Telephone

Harking back to a golden age of early telephony is this attractive metal bell vintage style rotary home telephone.

This is a fixed-line retro charmer. Fully functional the antique 1921 C model design has a solid wood body and parts of metal and plastic in black and brass colour. At 32 cm in height and 1.8 kg in weight, the classic design has two main parts. An earpiece is attached to the main mouthpiece by a cloth clad cable made to an international standard similar to those used in the 1920s and later. It is complete with a working mechanism for tone dialling (DTMF)

An ornamental thing of itself it will appeal to anyone who has or wants to include an early 20th-century classical look to complement their home decor, or for merely to enjoy looking at and having around as a talking point. The telephone in early and mid last century films was often seen as a central prop and might critically feature in the romance or suspense of plot or storyline.

The earliest user-controlled phone to be mass-produced entered into service in 1919. Operating this phone is easy and the sound quality is good. The product has been given good reviews.
